What is a 3DNovations Platform?
A 3DNovations is accessed online using avatars andour award winning 3DNovations platform. Using a 3DNovations ables your users to a gain deeper knowledge, understanding and skills through shared sense of presence and place and the opportunities to learn in context. It is ideal for informal, non accredited and accredited learning and for personalising learning to individual needs.
Hao2.eu Ltd, a London based social firm, is an innovative company using the latest in creative and digital technologies to improve work, learning and collaboration. The company was established in 2006. Hao is the Chinese word for ‘good’ and we are all about providing good quality products that utilise technology to make services/ businesses more accessible and effective for diverse people/ clients.
How do you pronounced the company name "Hao2"?
It is pronounced "how to", "Hao" is the chinese work for good and "2" represents our commitment to inclusive and responsible research and innovation practise and partnership approaches.
What is the Digital Marketplace?
It is an online way for public and third sector organisations to find and procure the cloud services they need in a flexible, agile and EU compliant way.
The company has spent the last few years exploring the potential of 3D virtual world technologies, and now offers a number of 3D cloud solutions to support more engaging learning as well as cost saving and collaborative working arrangements. 3D Virtual Worlds is the term given to 3D computer environments where users can interact with each other as well as create and use objects.
3D Virtual Worlds are similar to chat rooms, but include added interactive functionality. Instead of being confined to a single room with a group of people, virtual worlds allow you to explore various environments from the mundane every day places (like a London street) to the wonderful (an outer space platform).
Virtual worlds are largely user-made with basic tools available to every user so that they can create whatever they wish. The only limit to the virtual world is the imagination of the person building within it. Virtual worlds can be built and used in a variety of ways e.g. social networking, gaming, to help people experience places which might be too difficult or costly to do physically, or to teach someone learn or practice skills in a safe environment.
What are the benefits of working and / or learning in a virtual world?
Below are some of the benefits of using virtual worlds:
For Work: reduce / eliminate travel and estate costs, more accessible to employees with disabilities or other needs, collaborative working across large geographical area.

Is an open source multi-platform, multi-user 3D application system. It can be used to create a virtual environments (or worlds), which can operate across the cloud or locally.
Will a virtual world run on my computer?
To have the best experience, we recommend the following as a minimum:
Internet: Cable or DSL
Processor: 1.5 GHz (XP), 2-GHz (Vista) 32-bit (x86) or better
Memory: 3 GB or more
Screen Resolution: 1024x768 pixels or higher
Graphics: Intel 945 chipset or better – please ensure you have the latest drivers
Do I need to download something to see / use your virtual worlds?
We use different platforms or viewers: some of which require you to download some software and others are simply website plug ins and viewed via a web URL. Which platform you use depends on your requirements and capabilities and we will help you to determine the most suitable option.

Do you offer jobs/work placements?
From time to time we offer 2 work experience placements. We also have paid vocational skills development programmes where individuals get exposed to working in a technology business whilst also receiving tutorials on subjects such as presentation skills. Please contact us to find out more.
Can we have have a demonstration of the work you do?

All our policies and procedures are available on request. If you register your request on our website, we will send them to you by return email.
How do you protect Intellectual Property?

How do I know data/information you hold is secure?
Our Information Security Policy and IT Policy sets out our roles, responsibilities, systems and processes for securing and maintaining data. We are registered with the Information Commissioner as Data Holders and have a Data Protection Policy. As with all our policies and procedures, our staff receive regular training and supervision to help us maintain good & consistent standards.
